Joel R. Spivack

Joel R. Spivack has been named as one of the Top Bankruptcy Attorneys in Southern New Jersey by SJ Magazine and has served as a bankruptcy law panelist on the WPSJ and Garden State Television Programs "Legal Line". Since 1990, Joel R. Spivack has represented debtors, creditors, trustees and creditors' committees in both consumer and business bankruptcy cases under Chapter 7, 11 and 13 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code.

Joel R. Spivack obtained his B.A. from the University of Maryland in 1986 and his Juris Doctorate from Hofstra University School of Law in 1989. Mr. Spivack was admitted to the Pennsylvania bar in 1990, both the District of Columbia bar and the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania, in 1991, the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Pennsylvania in 1992, both the New Jersey bar and the U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey, in 1994, and the U.S. Supreme Court in 1998.

Spivack has been appointed to the Bankruptcy Mediation Panel, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, District of New Jersey; the Bankruptcy Mediation Panel, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania; and the Camden County Bar Association Commercial Debtor-Creditor Relations Committee, and serves on the Rutgers University Pro Bono Bankruptcy Project on behalf of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, District of New Jersey.

Mr. Spivack is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, the American Bankruptcy Institute, and is a former law clerk to former Chief Judge David A. Scholl of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
